Private Pilot Licence (PPL) ground course | Human Factors – AIPA (March)
As machines are evolving and becoming safer, the threat of something going wrong should reduce… however, the safety equation is also balanced with our own human element. Human error creates 80% of all incidents in aviation therefore we must understand the effects that aviation has on our bodies to minimize these errors.
In Human Factors, we look at both the physical pilot, and the mental pilot to ensure we maintain fitness to fly. We will cover topics inclusive of basic anatomy, vision, hearing, and environmental stressors with the intention that our knowledge of these subjects will provide a greater understanding of our abilities and limit the number of incidents in the future.
This is an extended version of the full-time ground course designed specifically for the Auckland International Pilot Academy (AIPA). This version of this ground course has more learning time spent on each subject in the classroom and also allows students to have an extra Study Day at the Club together with an Instructor to prepare for the exam.
PRICE – $239
This course will be running from 0830 to 1630 for 3 days on the 13, 14 and 15th of March with an extra Study Day on the 18th of March.
NOTE: Seats on this course are limited and subject to the number of students enrolled for the full-time Diploma course.
